Director of Security Technology (AI)

Location: Stockholm, Sweden; hybrid. Swedish citizenship, citizenship in an EU country, or a Swedish work permit is required.

What you will do

• Define, maintain, and execute the Managed Services security technology vision, strategy, and transformation roadmap.
• Accelerate AI, automation, orchestration, analytics, and security operations tooling initiatives through hands-on solution development.
• Define how humans, automation, and AI agents interact across triage, enrichment, investigation, escalation, response, reporting, and quality assurance.
• Identify and prioritize automation opportunities with SOC, Security Engineering & Architecture, Service Owners, and Technology.
• Co-lead SOC technology adoption with the Head of SOC through readiness, training, communication, feedback loops, and quality controls.
• Establish governance and human-oversight guardrails while communicating roadmap progress, risks, dependencies, and outcomes to leadership and executive stakeholders.

Requirements

• Extensive experience in cybersecurity technology, SOC/MDR, managed security services, AI-enabled security operations, automation, SIEM/XDR/EDR, cloud platforms, or data platforms.
• Strong understanding of SOC/MDR operating models and scaling security operations through technology.
• Experience defining technology strategy, translating business and operational needs into roadmaps, and leading technology transformation, automation programs, or operating model change.
• Strong theoretical and hands-on understanding of AI-assisted security operations, workflow automation, orchestration, and semi-autonomous or agentic operating models.
• Experience with automation, integration architecture, platform strategy, and data-driven operational improvement.
• Strong stakeholder management across technology, operations, product, commercial, and executive teams.
• Strong change management skills, including communication, involvement, training, and feedback.
• Ability to balance innovation with scalability, security, cost, compliance, operational integrity, and delivery feasibility.
• Strong communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences, plus high integrity and experience in confidentiality, compliance, and security-sensitive environments.
