Intermediate Cloud Security Engineer (Remote US)

Salary: USD 115,000–130,000 per year

What you will do

• Design, automate, deploy, and maintain secure, scalable, production-grade infrastructure across AWS, Azure, OCI, and GCP.
• Collaborate with Development and Architecture teams to build complex, highly available internal and customer environments.
• Provide Level 3 technical support to internal teams, customers, and partners, including investigating and resolving integration issues.
• Lead clients on cloud deployment patterns and act as a subject-matter expert for infrastructure supporting the core product.
• Design troubleshooting and maintenance procedures, perform root cause analysis, and provide implementation feedback to the Core Development team.
• Maintain internal tools, improve system health and reliability, and document best practices and lessons learned.

Requirements

• At least 5+ years of Information Technology experience, including infrastructure and platform-services automation.
• 4+ years of experience engineering and supporting containerization technology.
• 4+ years of experience with AWS, Azure, OCI, or GCP.
• Experience building end-to-end cloud solutions from low-level architecture documents and translating customer requirements into new infrastructure addressing business needs.
• Expertise in troubleshooting support escalations, optimizing on-call processes, and documenting knowledge.
• Solid networking fundamentals and proven experience implementing Security and Compliance best practices and controls for high-velocity software delivery teams, including SOC 2, HIPAA, and ISO 27001.
• Proven experience with Kubernetes or OpenShift and Docker.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Ansible, Terraform, or CloudFormation.
• Deep knowledge of cloud service providers and implementation and configuration best practices, preferably in customer environments.
