Senior Software Engineer (Java)

Location: Stockholm, Sweden (Hybrid)

hirify.global provides trust infrastructure and security software for cryptographic identities used by enterprises and government agencies, including its flagship PKI product.

What you will do

• Design, implement, and maintain Java software features and functionality.
• Review code and pull requests, and ensure adherence to coding standards.
• Collaborate with engineers and cross-functional teams to solve complex technical problems.
• Identify and resolve technical issues and performance bottlenecks while improving development practices.
• Support QA activities, product support, technical documentation, and Agile ceremonies.
• Guide less experienced engineers and contribute to the company's AI transformation journey.

Requirements

• Excellent knowledge of Java software development and architecture, including strong experience with Java Enterprise (Jakarta EE).
• Deep knowledge of databases and SQL, plus good knowledge of Linux.
• Knowledge of web application servers, container deployment, and RESTful APIs.
• Extensive experience developing software in Agile environments and familiarity with Agile methodologies, tools, and best practices.
• Knowledge and experience in secure software development, quality assurance methodologies, and the software development life cycle.
• Ability to mentor and support less experienced engineers and act as a team role model.
• Strong written and spoken English for professional communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong analytical, communication, organizational, collaboration, and customer-focused skills.

Nice to have

• Experience or knowledge in Public Key Infrastructure (PKI).
