Intern - Automated Testing (Full-Time, 12 Months) (m/f/d) (Robotics)

What you will do

• Design and build a hardware-in-the-loop test setup with a real Droneport, protective cage, and controlled drone movement.
• Connect and control hardware, sensors, and interfaces using Python.
• Develop repeatable automated tests for stationary and moving-drone scenarios with clear pass/fail criteria.
• Capture logs and measurements, investigate failures, and document test results.
• Explore controlled wind or rain simulation and integrate automated tests into the development workflow and CI/CD where practical.

Requirements

• Currently studying electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, mechatronics, robotics, computer science, or a related field.
• Solid programming experience and good Python skills, with an interest in applying software to physical systems.
• Familiarity with Linux and Git and a basic understanding of CI/CD.
• Interest in mechatronic systems, sensors, and communication between hardware and software.
• Willingness to assemble, wire, test, and troubleshoot hardware in a hands-on role.
• Ability to work independently and systematically, take initiative, and communicate findings clearly.
• Comfort communicating in English and interest in contributing for approximately one year.

Nice to have

• Experience controlling hardware with Arduino, Raspberry Pi, NVIDIA Jetson, or similar platforms.
