2027 Process Support Engineer (Semiconductor)

Location: Austin, TX; Boise, ID; or Hillsboro, OR, United States. The role includes on-site customer work and 20% travel. Relocation eligible.

Salary: $70,000–$95,500 per year

What you will do

• Provide on-site customer support through installations, system diagnoses, service, and repair of complex equipment.
• Develop leading-edge semiconductor processes with customers and R&D teams.
• Design hypothesis experiments and design-of-experiments studies, analyze data statistically, and prepare reports with technical conclusions.
• Troubleshoot complex process and customer product issues and perform root-cause analyses.
• Communicate with internal stakeholders and customers to establish trust and achieve technical goals.

Requirements

• Graduating with a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Materials Engineering, Materials Science, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Good academic standing; a GPA of 3.0 or above on a 4.0 scale is preferred.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build trust.
• Ability to exercise judgment using multiple sources of information and explain difficult or sensitive information clearly.
• Creative and analytical problem-solving skills.
• Flexible, adaptable, and comfortable working in a results-driven culture.
• Interest in hands-on customer work and learning across semiconductor process technologies.
