Senior Data Platform Engineer (Microsoft Fabric)

Location: Espoo, Finland Headquarters; hybrid, 4 days per week

What you will do

• Administer and optimize the shared Microsoft Fabric platform, including capacity management, workload monitoring, performance, and cost-efficient resource utilization.
• Develop reusable platform components, frameworks, automation, templates, engineering patterns, and ingestion capabilities for solution teams.
• Build source-system connectivity and reliable inbound ingestion patterns, plus outbound integrations using Azure Integration Services, REST APIs, and enterprise integration standards.
• Improve Git-based CI/CD practices, automated testing, deployment pipelines, service-principal deployments, and consistent Dev/Test/Prod environments.
• Implement architecture standards, guardrails, security controls, documentation, technical onboarding, and operational handover readiness.
• Contribute to platform modernization, migrations, legacy decommissioning, technical-debt reduction, and AI-assisted and agentic engineering adoption.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 7+ years of experience working with enterprise-level data platforms or data warehouses.
• Clear communication skills in English, including effective communication with the team.
• Willingness to help others and encourage colleagues.

Nice to have

• Experience with Microsoft Fabric.
• Experience with Azure Integration Services, or equivalent integration technologies, REST APIs, and enterprise system integrations.
