Robotics Software Researcher (Reinforcement Learning)

Location: San Francisco, CA, United States

Salary: $180,000–$220,000 base salary, with equity; up to $230,000 base salary may be available.

What you will do

• Develop reinforcement learning, imitation learning, and visuomotor control policies.
• Build low-latency models that translate perception into actions.
• Research world models, planning methods, and hierarchical policies.
• Develop simulation environments and reinforcement learning training pipelines.
• Explore sim-to-real transfer and human-AI cooperation.

Requirements

• PhD in Robotics, Machine Learning, or equivalent research experience.
• Publications at NeurIPS, ICLR, ICML, CoRL, RSS, or similar conferences.
• Strong experience developing and training reinforcement learning and imitation learning policies.
• Expertise in Python and PyTorch.
• Experience with embodied AI, vision-language-action models, or learned robotic control.
