Robotics Research Scientist

Location: San Francisco, CA, United States; onsite

Salary: USD 200,000–350,000 per year

hirify.global is a robotics research and deployment company building robot hardware and artificial intelligence for generally capable robots. The company designs and manufactures hardware, trains its own models, works with end customers, and operates a robot fleet across the United States.

What you will do

• Build AI algorithms and systems that drive novel robot capabilities in laboratory and field environments.
• Develop software enabling ordinary robots to perform complex physical-world tasks.
• Work on frontier robotics problems with researchers, engineers, technicians, operators, and sellers.
• Collaborate closely with teammates around a whiteboard to solve difficult technical problems.
• Visit and work in factory or warehouse environments as needed.

Requirements

• Exceptionally strong programming skills and comfort with one or more programming languages.
• Natural collaboration skills and enthusiasm for close team-based work.
• Interest in a future shaped by robots and a reshaped physical economy.
• Willingness to step into factory or warehouse environments.

Nice to have

• Advanced proficiency with Python and/or TypeScript with React.
• Experience with robot arms or manipulation.
• Experience with motion planning and robot optimization.
• Experience with perception or computer vision, deep or classical.
• Experience with infrastructure and developer tools such as systemd, Docker, or Kubernetes.
• Experience with hardware and software integration.
