Staff GL Accountant (U.S. GAAP)

Location: Warsaw, Poland; hybrid with 3 days in the office per week. US work hours overlap required.

What you will do

• Assist with monthly close activities, including preparing and posting journal entries.
• Support balance sheet reconciliations and basic variance analysis.
• Maintain accounting documentation in compliance with U.S. GAAP and internal control standards.
• Assist with intercompany accounting, group reporting, audit requests, and internal control testing.
• Prepare standard reports and schedules for corporate accounting and management review.
• Participate in process improvement and standardization initiatives and respond to ad-hoc accounting requests.

Requirements

• University degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 0–2 years of accounting experience; internships or traineeships are acceptable.
• Basic understanding of U.S. GAAP principles through coursework or early professional exposure.
• Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn structured accounting processes.
• Very good written and spoken English required.
• Strong willingness to learn and develop.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with ERP systems and Excel.
• Knowledge of additional languages.
