Forward Deployed Engineer (AI)

Location: Redwood City, California, United States; on-site. Requires travel to customer sites, including test ranges and military installations, for up to two weeks at a time.

Base pay: $195,000–$225,000 per year.

What you will do

• Integrate and deploy hirify.global software on new platforms in customer environments.
• Work directly with customers and end-users, including non-technical stakeholders.
• Work hands-on with target hardware and troubleshoot deployment issues.
• Drive successful technical outcomes for federal business projects.
• Travel to customer sites, test ranges, and military installations for assignments of up to two weeks.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of professional software development experience.
• Strong C++ and Python experience.
• Experience working in large, complex codebases and with Embedded Linux.
• Experience with NVIDIA Jetson platforms.
• Ability to work quickly and independently in fast-paced, ambiguous field environments.
• Comfort working with customers and end-users, including non-technical stakeholders.
• Must be a U.S. citizen with a security clearance or the ability to obtain one.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with ML frameworks such as TensorFlow or PyTorch.
• Computer Vision or Audio experience.
• Familiarity with autonomous vehicles.
