Senior Product Designer (3D/AI)

What you will do

• Lead discovery for Aura Cloud, mapping user workflows and defining journeys, task flows, and information architecture.
• Run customer interviews and usability tests, applying research findings to design decisions.
• Design consistent workflows across Aura Cloud, Aura Desktop, and Commander.
• Design 3D and spatial interactions for measuring, annotating, slicing, and navigating point clouds across desktop and touch interfaces.
• Build coded prototypes with AI tools, participate in refinement, review front-end changes, and measure outcomes through analytics and customer feedback.
• Grow the design system, enable product managers and engineers to use it with AI skills, and establish research operations.

Requirements

• 5+ years of product or UX design experience.
• Portfolio demonstrating end-to-end work, including research and design decisions.
• Experience with usability testing, prototype testing, and customer interviews.
• Strong interaction design and information architecture skills for complex, data-heavy workflows.
• Experience building or extending a design system covering both behaviour and visual design.
• Experience combining product analytics and research to make and measure design decisions.
• Practical use of AI tools in design work, including exploring options, building prototypes, or synthesising research, with judgement about their limitations.
• Clear written and verbal communication, with confidence facilitating decisions across product, engineering, and sales.

Nice to have

• Experience designing 3D or spatial interfaces, including point clouds, CAD, GIS, BIM, simulation, or games.
• Experience designing for in-field use in harsh or challenging environments.
• Experience writing design rules and guidance that AI tools can follow, including Claude skills.
• Familiarity with LiDAR data or experience in geospatial, surveying, mining, or construction industries.
