AI Engineer (Generative AI)

Location: Hybrid work in San Francisco, New York City, or Seattle, United States

Salary: $220,000–$259,000 base compensation in San Francisco and New York City; $198,000–$233,000 base compensation in other US locations, plus equity.

What you will do

• Architect, develop, and deploy high-performance, scalable AI applications in production and integrate them with the end-to-end platform.
• Build intelligent agents and AI-powered features that turn complex research into practical customer solutions.
• Collaborate with research scientists, data scientists, and product managers to define technical requirements and deliver business-critical features.
• Research and evaluate emerging AI technologies, frameworks, and tools for enterprise generative AI.
• Advance responsible AI through bias detection, explainability, and safety alignment.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional experience building and deploying machine learning or AI systems in production.
• Proficiency in Python and experience with AI/ML frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, or JAX.
• Strong foundation in machine learning principles, deep learning architectures, and natural language processing, particularly large language models.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure and MLOps tools for managing the AI lifecycle.
• Ability to write clean, efficient, and well-tested code for scalable software systems.
• Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to tackle complex technical challenges with creative AI solutions.
