Compliance Specialist (Financial Services)

Location: Boston, United States of America; hybrid work environment with remote and onsite work.

Base salary: $55,500–$80,500 annually, plus eligibility for a competitive incentive bonus.

What you will do

• Review and approve materials for compliance with applicable local and international regulatory requirements.
• Draft guidelines and procedures and contribute to compliance manuals and monitoring procedures.
• Communicate regulatory developments, policies, procedures, and required implementation changes across the business.
• Research compliance issues, provide advice, support training and communications, and advise cross-functional projects.
• Input data into compliance monitoring systems, report violations, and assist with restoring compliance.
• Prepare daily, monthly, and quarterly compliance reports and maintain regulatory records.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
• 0–2+ years of experience.
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, written, communication, teamwork, and collaboration skills, including the ability to present research, analysis, and conclusions persuasively.
• Ability to work effectively with employees and outside parties at all organizational levels.
• Analytical skills and the ability to make thoughtful decisions.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, plus the ability to develop proficiency in MFS systems and use online research tools.
• Applicants must currently be authorized to work full time in the United States.
• This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.

Nice to have

• Prior experience in investment management, financial services, or industry-related compliance.
• Presentation skills and strong writing abilities.
• Understanding of the supported business units’ operations, practices, procedures, controls, best practices, and evolving issues.
