Postdoctoral Research Associate (Neuroscience)

Location: College Station, Texas, United States; travel to field sites and mobile health assessment centers is required.

What you will do

• Support the implementation and management of a randomized controlled trial on dietary intake, cognitive performance, emotion regulation, and behavioral economics outcomes.
• Develop and maintain IRB protocols, support regulatory compliance, and protect confidential participant information.
• Recruit, screen, enroll, and schedule participants; monitor intervention compliance and collect data at assessment centers and field sites.
• Clean, merge, document, and analyze research data, including preliminary statistical analyses.
• Develop online data collection tools and contribute to literature reviews, reports, manuscripts, presentations, and grant proposals.
• Communicate study progress and data needs to the research team and summarize study results.

Requirements

• PhD in Nutrition, Behavioral Economics, Neuroscience, Public Health, or a related field.
• Previous experience conducting clinical studies or human-subject research.
• Knowledge of statistical analysis packages and database applications.
• Experience with IRB applications.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently, multitask, and work cooperatively with others.
• Ability to work beyond normal business hours and/or on weekends; travel to field sites; lift or move light, moderate, or heavy objects; and work outdoors in variable weather conditions.

Nice to have

• Research data management and analysis experience, including online data collection tools such as Qualtrics or REDCap.
• Experience with polyphenols or dietary/nutritional interventions.
• Experience using neurophysiological measures such as EEG, eye tracking, or facial expression analysis.
