Research Associate (Neuropharmacology)

Location: Bryan, Texas, United States; weekend and/or after-hours work may be required, and travel may be required.

What you will do

• Design, plan, conduct, and coordinate experiments for research projects.
• Apply standard research techniques, maintain detailed data records, and evaluate and summarize experimental results.
• Install, operate, and/or repair research equipment and perform data, statistical, and technical analyses.
• Prepare scientific and clientele-oriented publications, funding proposals, and financial accounts related to research projects.
• Train undergraduate and graduate students and laboratory, technical, or field staff.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• At least two years of related experience in a specialized and relevant research field.
• Familiarity with appropriate laboratory and/or technical equipment.
• Ability to use computers and applicable software effectively.
• Attention to detail.
• Licenses and certifications may vary with the research area.

Nice to have

• Experience with electrophysiology, immunohistochemistry, molecular biology, cell culture, or mouse behavioral models.
