Principal SW Safety Architect (Automotive Cybersecurity)

Location: Sibiu, Romania; other location: Bucharest. The role includes a work from home policy and flexible work hours.

What you will do

• Ensure automotive software products and development activities comply with ISO 26262 and ISO 21434.
• Define software safety requirements and assumptions in the Technical Safety Concept and align implementation feasibility with software teams.
• Create the VID, Cybersecurity Plan, and Cybersecurity Case.
• Review and approve ISO 21434 work products, Security Maturity Process deliverables, MSG products, and CRA compliance activities.
• Perform software component safety analysis, identify and report technical safety deviations, and coordinate with security assessors to meet project timelines.
• Define and deploy software processes, propose updates to meet security standards, provide compliance guidance, and prepare technical training materials.

Requirements

• BS or MS in Electronics, Computer Science, or an equivalent field.
• At least 10 years of experience in the automotive domain.
• Knowledge of and certificates in ISO 21434 and ISO 26262.
• Software architect and software development background.
• Technical and leadership experience.
• Basic or working understanding of ASPICE and the ability to interpret and apply quality standards.
• Ability to define software processes, including roles, activities, and deliverables.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
