Senior Product Data Scientist - Causal Inference

Location: Paris, France; hybrid model with 3 days per week in the office. Remote work from abroad is available for up to 15 days per year.

What you will do

• Estimate the potential impact of roadmap initiatives before development to support evidence-based prioritization.
• Partner with product and engineering to make launches measurable through progressive rollouts, exposure tracking, and agreed success metrics.
• Own analyses from planning through execution, including eligibility, exposure, and outcome datasets.
• Measure product-feature impact on studio retention, revenue, and activation using experiments or observational methods.
• Investigate unexpected metric changes, identify root causes, and provide actionable recommendations, decision tools, and guardrails.
• Improve statistical literacy across the company and communicate uncertainty and analytical limitations clearly.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in decision science, product data analytics, or a similar role.
• Hands-on business experience with causal inference, including A/B tests, geo experiments, difference-in-differences, or regression analysis.
• Production-grade SQL and solid data modeling experience.
• Fluency in Python for statistical analysis.
• Experience delivering analyses that changed business decisions and selecting methods appropriate to the question.
• Ability to explain uncertainty in plain language and turn confidence intervals into recommendations for product stakeholders.
• Enjoyment of autonomy and ownership.

Nice to have

• Experience with B2B SaaS or marketplace products.
• Experience with Databricks and dbt.

Hiring process

• Talent Acquisition interview, followed by a manager interview with a 1-hour live case study.
• 1.5-hour live coding session covering SQL and Python, followed by a 30-minute interview with Adrien and a 30-minute CPO stakeholder interview.
