DevOps Engineer with Java (Azure, Kubernetes)

Location: Hybrid in Kraków; 3 days per week from the client's office is mandatory. Candidates must live in or within commuting distance of Kraków.

Rate: 130–160 PLN/hour on a B2B contract, depending on experience.

What you will do

• Develop, maintain, and improve CI/CD pipelines for reliable Azure deployments.
• Automate application deployment, monitoring, and scaling across Azure App Services, Azure SQL, Kubernetes, and Docker.
• Administer and optimize Unix/Linux workloads using Shell/Bash scripting.
• Create and maintain Python scripts and tools for DevOps automation.
• Investigate technical issues, perform root-cause analysis, and implement fixes across development and production environments.
• Maintain system stability, optimize performance, uphold security standards, participate in code reviews, and share engineering knowledge.

Requirements

• At least 10 years of IT experience, including 5+ years in DevOps, SRE, or a related role.
• Hands-on experience with Azure services, deployment, monitoring, and DevOps practices including CI/CD, automation, and Infrastructure as Code.
• Hands-on experience with IaC tools such as Terraform, ARM, or Bicep.
• Proficiency with Kubernetes, Unix/Linux systems, and Shell/Bash scripting.
• Good knowledge of Python for automation and tooling.
• Strong troubleshooting skills, including debugging distributed systems.
• Proficiency with Git and CI/CD tools such as Azure DevOps or Jenkins.
• Proficiency in Java 8, 11, or 17.
• Fluent English required.
• Polish or EU citizenship, or a permanent residence/work permit valid for at least 12 months required.

Nice to have

• Configuration management tools such as Ansible.
• Monitoring and logging solutions such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, or Azure Monitor.
