Finance Research Expert (AI)

Location: Remote — worldwide

Compensation: $30–$60 per hour; tasks typically require approximately 4–8 hours.

What you will do

• Develop finance research questions based on US public company filings, including 10-Ks, 10-Qs, 8-Ks, proxy statements, earnings releases, and investor presentations.
• Create questions requiring detailed identification of financial figures, disclosures, and information in complex documents.
• Design questions involving conflicting figures, including original versus restated financials and adjusted versus reported results.
• Verify fiscal periods, filing versions, and amended documents before finalizing source-backed answers.
• Test questions against current AI models, identify incorrect responses, and refine ambiguous questions into clear, verifiable prompts.

Requirements

• Hands-on experience reviewing US financial filings in equity research or investment analysis, investment banking or corporate development, credit or restructuring analysis, SEC reporting or audit, or corporate law and due diligence.
• Strong understanding of US GAAP and SEC reporting requirements.
• Ability to read and analyze lengthy financial filings, including detailed footnotes and tables.
• Excellent financial research, analytical, verification, and source-validation skills.
• Strong written English communication skills.
• Ability to provide clear, accurate, and source-backed explanations.
