Data Engineering Intern (AI)

Location: Seattle, WA; minimum 4 days per week onsite in the Seattle office. This is a 40-hour-per-week internship from June 7 to August 20, 2026; no relocation or housing assistance is provided.

What you will do

• Build and maintain pipelines for product usage, device performance, and customer interaction data.
• Develop and optimize ETL workflows using Python, SQL, and cloud-based data technologies.
• Implement data validation, monitoring, and automated testing to ensure dataset quality and reliability.
• Develop datasets and analytics solutions for product performance, user engagement, and customer experience insights.
• Create a semantic data layer that enables machine learning and AI to use product data and diagnostics.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with hardware, product management, and user experience teams.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in an undergraduate program in Computer Science, Data Science, Computer Engineering, or an equivalent field.
• Expected graduation in Winter 2027/2028 or Spring 2028/2029.
• Proficiency writing code with SQL and/or Python.
• Familiarity with version control such as Git.
• Understanding of the data development lifecycle and continuous integration and deployment techniques.
• Available to participate from June through August and work from the Seattle office at least 4 days per week.
• Authorized to work for any US employer now and in the future.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Tableau, Snowflake, dbt, or similar data tools.
• Experience with AWS Cloud Services.
• Experience with CI/CD build and release pipelines such as GitHub Actions or Jenkins.
