Sr. Platform Engineer (Cloud Infrastructure)

Location: Stockholm, Sweden; office-first, four days per week

What you will do

• Build and evolve shared cloud infrastructure and Internal Developer Platform capabilities.
• Develop self-service capabilities, APIs, CLI tooling, and internal developer tooling for engineering teams.
• Improve service provisioning, deployment, operations, reliability, observability, security, and networking.
• Turn recurring infrastructure needs into reusable platform capabilities while preserving team ownership of production software.
• Work with engineering teams across hirify.global to identify platform friction and contribute to technical direction and architecture.
• Take production responsibility for the capabilities you build and handle operational incidents.

Requirements

• Experienced platform or infrastructure engineer with experience building and operating production environments at scale.
• Strong experience with modern cloud infrastructure and Kubernetes-based, containerised production environments.
• Experience with infrastructure as code and automated provisioning.
• Experience designing or building internal platforms, developer platforms, or self-service infrastructure.
• Strong understanding of reliability, observability, networking, and security.
• Experience operating production systems and handling incidents.
• Good software engineering fundamentals and the ability to build platform tooling and services.
• Ability to make technical trade-offs across infrastructure, developer experience, and operational complexity.
• Clear communication and experience working across engineering teams; experience with every listed technology is not required.
• Must already have the right to work and reside in Sweden and be able to work office-first from Stockholm.

Nice to have

• Experience with the current technical environment: AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform/OpenTofu, kro, ACK, GitHub Actions, Go, TypeScript, PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, OpenSearch, Grafana, and OpenTelemetry.
