Senior Firmware Engineer (C/C++/Python)

Location: Santa Clara, California, United States

Expected base pay: $111,070–$166,400 per annum, excluding bonus and equity compensation.

What you will do

• Contribute to all phases of software development, from requirements gathering and architecture/design through implementation, unit and functional testing, and maintenance.
• Develop highly scalable and distributed embedded network software for Teralynx switching products.
• Develop and maintain SDK components, including the IFCS SDK interface for Teralynx products.
• Create solutions for complex technical problems while maintaining a strong focus on execution and quality.
• Collaborate with engineering teams across multiple sites.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, ECE, or MCA with 5+ years of experience, or a master’s degree in computer science or ECE with 3+ years of experience.
• Hands-on experience developing embedded software for switch or router systems.
• Extensive programming experience in C, C++, and Python.
• Willingness to learn and work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
• Applicants must be eligible to access export-controlled technology and software under U.S. export control laws. Applicants other than U.S. citizens, lawful permanent residents, or protected individuals may be subject to an export license review before employment.

Nice to have

• SDK development experience with switching or routing ASICs.
• Experience with the Linux kernel, SERDES, and board bring-up.
