Forward Deployed Engineer - AI Prototyping & Product Engineering

Location: Prague, Czech Republic; hybrid work. The role is based in Prague, and relocation support is not available.

Annual base salary: 1,402,380–2,604,420 CZK, with potential performance-based bonus.

What you will do

• Partner with business and domain teams to identify high-value AI product opportunities from complex challenges.
• Prototype, test, demonstrate, and refine solutions with users through short build-and-learn cycles.
• Build end-to-end AI applications with Python, TypeScript, React, foundation models, and reusable platform capabilities.
• Develop retrieval-augmented generation, document intelligence, agentic workflows, and automation for life sciences use cases.
• Integrate products with APIs, data platforms, identity services, and authorized business systems, then deploy them securely on AWS using Amazon Bedrock.
• Establish testing, evaluation, observability, CI/CD, privacy, security, traceability, human oversight, and operational practices while measuring adoption and business outcomes.

Requirements

• Approximately 8–12+ years of professional experience, including 5+ years building and delivering production software.
• Experience owning applications or products from problem discovery through deployment, adoption, and continuous improvement.
• Strong Python expertise for building complete, production-ready applications beyond notebooks, prompts, or model endpoints.
• Working-to-advanced TypeScript, JavaScript, and React experience building functional and intuitive user interfaces.
• Strong engineering fundamentals across APIs, data modelling, databases, authentication, testing, containers, and cloud deployment.
• Hands-on experience with continuous integration and continuous delivery and with building maintainable production solutions.

Nice to have

• Experience building generative AI solutions using foundation models, retrieval-augmented generation, agentic workflows, and tool integrations.
• Experience delivering technology solutions in life sciences, pharmaceuticals, healthcare, or another regulated environment.
