Senior Software Developer III (AI)

Location: Fully remote, located in Colombia; other listed locations include Bogotá and Medellín.

What you will do

• Own the architecture, delivery, operations, cost, quality, and on-call support of the production AI platform.
• Design, build, and operate agentic-AI systems, including LLM services, retrieval pipelines, multi-agent orchestration, execution runtimes, and human-in-the-loop capabilities.
• Build memory infrastructure, agent definition management APIs, tool registries, LLMOps pipelines, automated evaluation systems, and regression or drift alerting.
• Implement telemetry, guardrails, and technical controls for AI compliance frameworks such as ISO 42001 and AIUC-1.
• Create architectures, prototypes, RFCs, and design proposals; lead proof-of-concepts and influence platform direction through production implementation.
• Improve CI/CD, reliability, observability, incident response, documentation, and engineering practices while mentoring developers and collaborating with Product/UX, Security, Operations, and external stakeholders.

Requirements

• 2+ years building and operating production AI systems, including latency, cost, accuracy, and reliability trade-offs.
• Experience with agent frameworks, agent memory systems, orchestration of tool-using AI systems, and agentic-AI development practices.
• 8+ years of professional software development experience with demonstrated impact beyond a single team; a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• Production AWS experience with Infrastructure as Code using CDK, CloudFormation, Terraform, or equivalent.
• Experience designing and operating distributed, cloud-native SaaS or multi-tenant platforms at scale, ideally on AWS.
• Strong software fundamentals, including OOP, design patterns, SOLID principles, and code-quality advocacy.
• Experience designing and consuming HTTP APIs such as REST or GraphQL.
• Experience mentoring developers and influencing architectural decisions across teams.
• Strong written and verbal communication, initiative, and comfort working with ambiguity and evolving requirements.
• AI-assisted development tools must be used as part of the daily workflow, with responsibility for validating the correctness, security, and architectural alignment of generated output.

Nice to have

• Experience implementing AI guardrails, governance controls, safety mechanisms, and compliance controls based on ISO 42001, AIUC-1, or NIST AI RMF.
• Experience evaluating and integrating third-party ML or LLMOps platforms and making buy-versus-build decisions.
• Experience with retrieval systems, RAG, embedding pipelines, hybrid search, evaluation harnesses, offline and online metric comparison, drift detection, or regression alerting.
• Experience operating systems in regulated or compliance-heavy domains.
• Familiarity with accounting, auditing, or financial workflows.
