Senior Software Developer / Technical Lead (AI)

Location: Fully remote within the United States of America; position associated with CIO KPop-Dallas.

Salary: $143,640–$273,000 annually for the U.S.; location-specific ranges may apply, including up to $327,600 in California San Francisco Bay Area and New York City.

What you will do

• Lead developers through new application builds and modernization programs while remaining hands-on with design, coding, testing, code review, and troubleshooting.
• Set technical direction covering architecture, engineering standards, modernization strategy, integration patterns, delivery practices, and technical risk management.
• Use AI-assisted development tools for code comprehension, generation, refactoring, testing, documentation, debugging, and migration planning.
• Architect fit-for-purpose agents and agentic workflows using LangGraph, A2A, MCP-enabled tools, or comparable technologies.
• Analyze legacy applications, identify business logic and constraints, define target architectures, and create incremental transformation roadmaps.
• Mentor developers, collaborate with architects and stakeholders, and create reusable engineering patterns, prompts, agents, reference architectures, and delivery practices.

Requirements

• At least 7 years of hands-on software development experience delivering production-quality applications.
• Experience leading developers through mentoring, code review, technical planning, delivery guidance, and issue resolution.
• Experience setting technical direction, making architecture decisions, defining engineering standards and delivery patterns, and managing technical risks.
• Experience with at least one modern programming language such as Java, Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, C#, Go, or a comparable technology.
• Experience with new application development, application modernization, or both, including the ability to analyze codebases and create incremental transformation plans.
• Practical experience using AI-assisted development tools and validating AI-generated code for correctness, security, maintainability, performance, testability, architecture, and requirements alignment.
• Familiarity with agentic development and experience building or prototyping agents with LangGraph, A2A, MCP-enabled tools, or similar frameworks.
• Strong understanding of APIs, data models, integration patterns, automated testing, version control, CI/CD, secure coding, observability, and operational support.
• Clear communication of technical direction to developers, architects, stakeholders, and client teams, plus a growth mindset toward AI-assisted software development.

Nice to have

• Experience modernizing mainframe, Fortran, J2EE, ASP, monolithic, or other enterprise applications.
• Experience with cloud-native applications, APIs, microservices, event-driven systems, or modern front-end experiences.
• Hands-on experience with LangGraph, A2A, MCP, OpenAI or Anthropic APIs, Semantic Kernel, CrewAI, or comparable frameworks.
• Experience designing agents that interact with enterprise tools, repositories, documentation, tickets, CI/CD pipelines, telemetry, or application data.
• Experience defining architecture guardrails, reference implementations, coding standards, reusable components, or engineering playbooks.
• Familiarity with DevSecOps, quality gates, observability, containerization, infrastructure as code, retrieval-augmented generation, vector databases, tool calling, evaluation harnesses, prompt engineering, LLM application testing, or agent observability.
• Experience in Agile environments with product owners, architects, business stakeholders, client executives, and distributed engineering teams.
