Staff Network Engineer (AI Infrastructure)

hirify.global Labs is a venture-backed AI infrastructure startup building a platform that gives AI Cloud providers a hyperscaler-like experience on their own GPU infrastructure, including bare-metal provisioning, node lifecycle management, Kubernetes, Slurm, Ray, and inference clusters.

What you will do

• Design and build automation for provisioning and configuring NVIDIA switches and InfiniBand fabrics, including NVIDIA UFM integration.
• Build control loops that synchronize switch, VLAN, and VXLAN state, detect configuration drift, and reconcile it safely in production.
• Develop NAT gateway and L4 load-balancing layers with failover for tenant clusters.
• Define network behavior at scale, including BGP route limits, convergence, failover, and link, switch, or gateway failures under AI workloads.
• Run automation in real AI Cloud environments and turn operational findings into product behavior.
• Set technical direction, write design and requirements documents, and establish networking standards across hirify.global products.

Requirements

• Experience shipping network automation software that programmatically configures switches, routers, or load balancers.
• Hands-on experience with NVIDIA UFM, Spectrum or Quantum switches, Cumulus Linux, or NVUE, including their APIs.
• Strong knowledge of InfiniBand, VLAN, VXLAN, EVPN, and BGP, including production-scale failure behavior.
• Experience operating production-scale networks and resolving root causes through automation.
• Production programming experience in Go or Python, with version control, code review, and infrastructure-as-code practices.

Nice to have

• AI networking experience with GPU training or inference workloads, RoCEv2, congestion control, rail-optimized topologies, or Spectrum-X.
• Network automation experience at a GPU cloud, hyperscaler, or large CDN.
• Experience building L4 load balancers or NAT gateways with eBPF/XDP or DPDK.
• Contributions to networking or Kubernetes projects such as SONiC, FRRouting, Cilium, or MetalLB.
