OCI Security Consultant

Location: 100% remote within the United States; the posting header also lists Katy, TX.

Salary: $100,000–$150,000 annually.

What you will do

• Design and implement enterprise security architectures for OCI tenancies, including landing-zone guardrails, security zones, compartment policies, and threat models.
• Configure OCI Identity Domains, corporate identity-provider federation, RBAC, Vault key management, HSM integration, and secrets handling.
• Harden OCI compute, networking, and database workloads using CIS benchmarks and OCI security services.
• Operate Cloud Guard, Logging, Audit, Data Safe, and SIEM integrations for detection, monitoring, forensics, and data protection.
• Lead vulnerability management, compliance initiatives, incident response, remediation tracking, and post-incident reviews.
• Develop security automation with Python, Terraform, and OCI CLI/SDK; maintain technical documentation and mentor application and infrastructure teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• At least five years of cloud security experience, including strong hands-on OCI experience.
• Deep experience with OCI Identity, IAM policies, identity federation, Cloud Guard, Security Zones, Vault, and Data Safe.
• Understanding of cloud-native security frameworks and CIS benchmarks, plus experience with vulnerability management and patching tooling.
• Working knowledge of PCI-DSS, HIPAA, SOC 2, and ISO 27001 regulatory frameworks.
• Strong Python and Bash scripting skills and Terraform experience.
• Experience integrating cloud workloads with SIEM platforms.
• Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills.

Nice to have

• Oracle Cloud Security Professional certification.
• CISSP, CCSP, or an equivalent industry security certification.
• Experience with multi-cloud security architectures.
• Familiarity with SOAR platforms and automated incident response.
• Exposure to zero-trust architecture patterns.
