Multilingual Data Annotation Specialist (Spanish)

Location: Hybrid, 2–3 days per week in the Marina del Rey, California office; US-based role

What you will do

• Label video, image, and metadata content across YouTube, TikTok, Meta, and Snap using contextual category guidelines and in-house tooling.
• Make daily content judgments where cultural and linguistic context affects classification.
• Apply labeling frameworks and identify gaps requiring guideline improvements.
• Detect emerging trends and edge cases before they cause systemic mislabeling.
• Analyze quality misses, identify root causes, and convert findings into process changes.
• Perform linguistic quality assurance across multiple project pipelines while building practical knowledge of machine learning, computer vision, and annotation quality.

Requirements

• Oral, written, and cultural fluency in Spanish and English is required.
• Strong cultural fluency and contextual judgment across varied content types.
• Regular use of TikTok, YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, and Snapchat with native-level familiarity.
• Exceptional attention to detail during repetitive work and clear written communication when explaining ambiguity, inconsistency, or definitional drift.
• Ability to apply style guides consistently across formats.
• Comfort using AI tools such as Claude, Gemini, or ChatGPT and proficiency with Google Workspace.
• Ability to review sensitive content, including political and religious material, violence, and adult content.
• Reliable, coachable, analytical, and comfortable with structured problem-solving, shifting priorities, confidential information, and both independent and team-based work.
• Ability to work the required hybrid schedule in the Marina del Rey office.

Nice to have

• Background in annotation, content moderation, labeling, quality assurance, or policy enforcement.
• SQL familiarity.
• Additional languages such as Portuguese, Mandarin, Turkish, Tagalog, or others.
