Engineer - IT Field Services

Location: Chicago, Illinois, United States; the role supports regional airport stations and requires regular station visits, site surveys, and field services.

Base pay range: $73,150.00–$95,224.00 per year, with eligibility for bonus and/or long-term incentive compensation.

What you will do

• Oversee technology projects and operational support for assigned regional line stations, customer service centers, contact centers, and other facilities.
• Conduct station visits, walkthroughs, site surveys, equipment support, preventative maintenance, inventory management, and supply storage.
• Perform system administration, diagnostics, PC and mobile-device imaging, equipment installation and removal, and end-user troubleshooting.
• Coordinate project plans, resource activities, regional meetings, vendor tasks, deliverables, and project tracking.
• Coordinate with Network, WAN, WiFi, Mobility Engineering, electrical contractors, service providers, and other technology owners.
• Ensure MDF and IDF rooms comply with BICSI, EIA, TIA, and established enterprise or industry standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree.
• 2+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience leading small to mid-size projects.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to explain solutions to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Technical aptitude, ability to learn new technologies, and strong problem-solving skills.
• Strong poise in high-pressure environments and active commitment to self-development.
• Knowledge of low-voltage and fiber standards.
