Product Manager (Payments)

Location: London, United Kingdom; hybrid working with a mix of home and office days. Working from anywhere is available for up to 30 days per year.

Salary: £47,500–£58,000 per year.

What you will do

• Identify, evaluate, and prioritize product opportunities across payments and finance using customer insights, business needs, and quantitative analysis.
• Define and monitor success metrics to improve product performance continuously.
• Plan product development with development teams, product leaders, and business leaders.
• Collaborate with a cross-functional agile team to deliver the product roadmap and align day-to-day work with shared goals.
• Gather and synthesize needs from finance, sales, pricing, underwriting, senior management, and other stakeholders into product roadmaps and specifications.
• Help design intuitive payment flows, reconciliation systems, accurate reporting tools, and internal tooling for Sales, Customer Support, and Finance.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience as a Product Manager for software products working in a cross-functional team.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering, Economics, Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or another discipline with a strong quantitative foundation.
• Strong verbal and written English communication skills, including the ability to explain technically and strategically complex concepts to audiences at all levels.
• Pragmatic approach and ability to work under pressure while achieving targets.
• Good understanding of data modelling and the implications of data when defining products.
• Curiosity, ownership, and a continuous improvement mindset.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of insurance or another regulated industry.
• Experience with product analytics, experimentation, or A/B testing.
• Familiarity with SQL, Python, or data visualization tools.
• Experience using AI tools to improve product discovery and delivery.
