Senior Data Product Manager – Finance & Procurement

Location: Based in Germany; remote work possible with occasional on-site collaboration in Berlin or Cologne

What you will do

• Own the end-to-end Finance & Procurement data product portfolio, covering financial reporting, controlling, procurement analytics, cost transparency, and operational decision-making.
• Define the domain strategy and roadmap, prioritising initiatives by business value, user needs, and strategic objectives.
• Enable insights into financial performance, profitability, cost structures, budgeting, forecasting, financial KPIs, supplier management, spend, and procurement efficiency.
• Improve data quality, KPI harmonisation, data ownership, governance, and consistency across Finance and Procurement.
• Translate complex business requirements into scalable and reusable data products with Data Engineers, Data Analysts, Forward Deployed Engineers, and DataOps.
• Measure product adoption and business impact, align stakeholders, manage priorities, and maintain backlogs and documentation in Jira and Confluence.

Requirements

• 6+ years of relevant experience in Data Product Management, Analytics Product Management, or closely related data-driven product roles.
• Strong domain knowledge in Finance, Controlling, and/or Procurement, including financial reporting, performance management, cost structures, spend analytics, or procurement processes.
• Experience translating complex business requirements into valuable, scalable, and reusable data products.
• Experience owning product strategies, roadmaps, prioritisation, and measurable outcomes across multiple stakeholder groups.
• Confidence engaging with senior Finance and Procurement stakeholders, challenging assumptions, aligning perspectives, and driving decisions.
• Strong analytical mindset with understanding of consistent KPI definitions, data quality, governance, and reliable reporting.
• Technical understanding of modern data platforms, data modelling, and business intelligence sufficient to collaborate with technical teams and challenge proposed solutions.
• Strategic thinking combined with a pragmatic, hands-on approach and ownership of outcomes.

Nice to have

• Experience with Databricks, Power BI, or comparable modern cloud data platforms.
