Senior Platform Engineer (AWS/Kubernetes)

What you will do

• Build and operate the multi-account AWS foundation and Kubernetes EKS clusters used by product engineering.
• Develop infrastructure as code, deployment tooling, GitOps workflows, CI/CD pipelines, and shared developer-platform capabilities.
• Improve platform security, compliance, observability, reliability, and cost efficiency as the business expands internationally.
• Develop AI agents and internal tooling that help engineers manage infrastructure, resolve incidents, and work independently.
• Partner with product engineering, Security, Data Platform, and Compliance teams to identify friction and deliver cross-team initiatives.
• Own initiatives end-to-end, from technical design and implementation through production operation, documentation, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Experience designing and operating highly available distributed systems in production, including handling incidents, post-mortems, and reliability improvements.
• Proven experience scaling infrastructure globally.
• Strong hands-on production experience with AWS, Kubernetes, and Terraform.
• Product mindset with the ability to put users and business priorities at the center of technical decisions and explain initiative prioritization.
• Hands-on experience working with AI agents in daily engineering work.
• Agency and ownership: identifying problems, aligning stakeholders, and driving solutions through production.
• Professional proficiency in English, written and spoken.

Nice to have

• Experience in fintech, payments, or regulated environments, including PCI DSS or DORA.
• Experience with Terragrunt, Atlantis, or GitOps workflows.
• Scripting or programming experience in Python, Go, or a similar language.
• Experience with Prometheus, Grafana, the Elastic stack, or Tempo.
• Experience building internal developer platforms or self-service tooling.
• Experience building AI agents, skills, or engineering automations.
• Experience participating in an on-call rotation.
• Spanish.
