Front-End Software Engineer (React)

Location: Hybrid in Richmond, Victoria, Australia. Full-time Australian working rights are required.

hirify.global operates an online automotive marketplace that helps people buy and sell vehicles across Australia and international markets.

What you will do

• Build end-to-end product features using React or Angular, TypeScript, and Node.js services.
• Work with .NET APIs and services, with opportunities to take on more backend development.
• Plan and deliver work from ticket to production, including code breakdown, source control, testing, code review, and build processes.
• Write tests while building features and keep the codebase easy to change.
• Work with product and design to understand customer problems.
• Share knowledge, contribute ideas, and give and receive constructive feedback.

Requirements

• 3+ years of commercial experience building product features with React or Angular and TypeScript.
• Hands-on experience building and consuming APIs with Node.js.
• Experience with backend services in C#/.NET or Java, plus willingness to work with .NET services.
• A clear problem-solving approach and good testing habits using tools such as Jest, Vitest, or Playwright.
• Inclusive interpersonal skills aligned with the company behaviours: changing the game, taking ownership, stepping in, curiosity, and not taking things too seriously.
• Full-time Australian working rights are required.
• Successful candidates must complete a National Police Record check.

Nice to have

• Experience in e-commerce or online marketplace businesses.
• Experience deploying and running services on AWS.
• Experience with CI/CD and infrastructure as code.
