Senior Cloud Engineer (AWS)

Location: Thessaloniki, Athens, Limassol, Nicosia, or fully remote in other eligible locations; hybrid workplace.

hirify.global is hiring for its Engineering – Cloud DevOps department.

What you will do

• Research workloads and orchestrate cloud migration projects with minimal interruption and impact.
• Design and consult on re-platforming and refactoring current cloud infrastructure.
• Assess cloud deployments against Group standards, best practices, and the Well Architected Framework.
• Maintain cloud risk registers and coordinate risk communication with project managers, senior leadership, and IT teams.
• Define deployment standards, pillars, fair-use policies, and Proof-of-Concepts for internal customers.
• Investigate solutions, drive new technology requests, provide training, and oversee cloud cost remediation.

Requirements

• University degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a similar discipline.
• At least 5 years of cloud services experience, including 3 years on AWS.
• Advanced solution design and deployment project knowledge, with practical understanding of the Well Architected Framework.
• Experience with AWS technologies, services, and ecosystem.
• Advanced knowledge of Infrastructure as Code concepts and tools, preferably Terraform and AWS CloudFormation.
• Experience with versioning tools such as Git.
• Advanced Linux, networking, and Bash scripting skills.
• Understanding of FinOps or SRE practices, plus strong troubleshooting, mentoring, organisation, and documentation skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with Windows OS.
• Experience with relational databases, preferably PostgreSQL and MySQL.
• Experience with Python or Go scripting.
