SVP, Associate General Counsel, Technology & Enterprise Services (Fintech)

Location: Fort Mill, South Carolina, United States; other locations include Arlington, Virginia and New York, New York.

Pay range: $213,313.00–$355,453.00 base salary annually.

What you will do

• Lead Corporate Services Legal and serve as a member of the Legal leadership team, reporting to the Chief Legal Officer.
• Develop legal strategy for technology transformation, digital innovation, operational resilience, enterprise risk management, and regulatory compliance.
• Oversee legal support for intellectual property, technology initiatives, cloud services, software development, digital platforms, AI-enabled solutions, cybersecurity, privacy, and data governance.
• Lead counsel on cyber incidents, breach response, privacy regulations, cross-border data transfers, third-party risk, and security governance.
• Oversee commercial contracting, procurement agreements, technology transactions, vendor relationships, strategic partnerships, and enterprise sourcing.
• Advise senior management on strategic initiatives, technology investments, business transformation, and mergers and acquisitions integration while leading and mentoring attorneys, legal professionals, and external counsel.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Active membership in good standing with at least one U.S. state bar.
• 10+ years of legal experience, including significant leadership experience in a large public company, financial services organization, major technology company, or nationally recognized law firm.
• Deep expertise across multiple areas, including technology transactions, privacy, cybersecurity, intellectual property, and commercial contracting.
• Demonstrated success advising senior executives and boards on complex, high-impact legal and business matters.

Nice to have

• Experience supporting regulated financial services, fintech, wealth management, broker-dealer, or investment advisory businesses.
• Experience advising on artificial intelligence, digital transformation, cloud computing, data governance, and emerging technology risks.
• Experience leading legal teams through growth, transformation, acquisitions, or enterprise modernization.
• Ability to balance legal rigor with practical business enablement and take a solution-oriented approach with business partners.
