Company
hirify.global develops high-power satellite platforms for commercial and U.S. government missions from low Earth orbit to deep space.
What you will do
Develop mission-level models and simulations for national security space missions, including operational objectives, environments, constraints, and mission profiles.
Analyze constellation capability and performance against mission requirements, including network coverage, beam planning, and resilience in contested environments.
Create and maintain simulation infrastructure and physics-based models for 20kW+ spacecraft subsystems, including propulsion, attitude control, power, and communications.
Simulate and verify flight and spacecraft-orchestration software, support subsystem integration and testing, and investigate on-orbit anomalies through data analysis.
Build tools for rapid deployment of quality code and adapt simulation capabilities for classified contexts.
Set technical direction, review designs and code, own complex systems end-to-end, and mentor other engineers.
Requirements
Active U.S. government security clearance at any level, or a clearance held within the last 12 months, and U.S. citizenship required.

Bachelor's degree in physics, aerospace, mechanical or electrical engineering, computer science, mathematics, or another STEM field.
5+ years of professional modeling and simulation experience.
Development experience in Rust, C++, or a similar compiled language.
Experience with scientific Python such as NumPy and SciPy, Julia, MATLAB, or similar tools.
Ability to own complex systems end-to-end and guide the work of other engineers.
Nice to have
Master's or PhD in a relevant STEM field.
Mission-level or campaign-level modeling and simulation experience for defense or national security applications.
Experience communicating technical intuition and expertise effectively to stakeholders.
Production Rust experience and experience defining and creating simulation systems.
Experience with Monte Carlo simulations, probability and statistics, linear algebra, controls, and/or orbital mechanics.
Experience with space communications modeling, including RF and ground stations.
Basic knowledge of electronics, Linux, computer architecture, and continuous integration and continuous delivery systems.
Culture & Benefits
Full-time employment with equity participation.
Comprehensive benefits including paid time off, medical, dental and vision coverage, life insurance, and paid parental leave.
Work supports classified national security programs and must follow applicable security requirements.
Reasonable accommodation is available during the application or interview process.
