Senior Application Developer (Machine Learning)

Salary: $120,000–$130,000 per year

What you will do

• Design, build, and manage data and inference pipelines, integrations, machine learning classification, and applications for clinical insights.
• Deliver software and data engineering capabilities using core clinical data assets.
• Participate in business planning, technical strategy, technology innovation, and improvements to team development practices.
• Collaborate in a Scrum team with Architects, Developers, Data QA Engineers, DevOps, Product Owners, Scrum Masters, and data scientists.
• Mentor and coach junior Development and QA team members while contributing to knowledge exchange.

Requirements

• Senior-level software and data engineering experience with the ability to rapidly learn and adapt.
• Proficiency with one or more major cloud providers, preferably AWS.
• Proficiency with Databricks, Python, PySpark, and Spark.
• Proficiency with AWS API Gateway, AWS Lambda, SQS, and S3.
• Proficiency with GitHub and experience with GitHub Actions.
• Proficiency in machine learning model-building techniques and model inference.
• Proficiency with relational databases and SQL.
• Experience building continuous integration and deployment systems and using infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform.
• Experience with JIRA, Confluence, Slack, and Microsoft Teams.
• Experience and willingness to work in Agile/Scrum teams, with strong communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to mentor and coach more junior Development and QA team members.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Snowflake.
• Familiarity with domain-driven design.
