Automation Engineering Intern (Industrial Automation)

Location: On-site in Moscow, Idaho, United States

Pay: $24.25–$33.00 per hour

What you will do

• Provide high-quality automated solutions for printed circuit board production.
• Debug, update, document, and maintain PLC ladder logic interacting with conveyors, robots, MES, machine vision, and third-party equipment.
• Create machine interactions with the plant-wide Manufacturing Execution System.
• Introduce automated processes into production and evaluate automated equipment specifications.
• Provide technical evaluations and perform other assigned duties.

Requirements

• US citizenship is required.
• Current student pursuing Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mechatronics, or a related discipline.
• Interest in implementing and improving automation solutions in a manufacturing environment.
• Interest in Industrial Automation, including PLCs, HMI/GUI layout, Field Bus Networks, Vision Systems, and robotics integration.
• Familiarity with electrical prints and industrial equipment standards.
• Experience with technical presentations and training.
• Proficiency in PLC programming with a defined methodology for maintaining structured and organized code.
• Interest in specifying, implementing, and validating fault-tolerant systems with error handling and recovery processes.
