Software Engineer II - Embedded Platform

Location: Den Bosch, Netherlands; applicants must be within commuting distance. Regular in-office collaboration is required, with more days in-office than remote.

Base salary: €51,000–€85,000 EUR per year.

What you will do

• Support hardware squads by integrating device development into CI/CD pipelines for reliable building, testing, and delivery.
• Build and improve tools for building, flashing, debugging, and testing embedded devices.
• Maintain CI/CD infrastructure and regression testing used in manufacturing.
• Roll out software updates safely and predictably to customer cameras.
• Provide contract manufacturers with tooling for flashing, provisioning, and production-line testing.
• Own solutions autonomously within the Platform squad.

Requirements

• Professional experience with Yocto, including building and customizing images.
• Experience building or maintaining CI/CD pipelines, including build automation and automated testing; examples include GitHub Actions, GitLab, or Jenkins.
• Ability to write clean, maintainable Bash and Python tools and automation.
• Comfort with Docker and Linux system administration.
• Fluent use of AI coding tools and ability to critically evaluate their output.

Nice to have

• Experience with over-the-air update frameworks.
• Experience building flashing, provisioning, or end-of-line test tooling for production environments.
• Experience with SoC vendor BSPs, flashing tools, or secure boot.
• Ability to read and debug C/C++ code from user space through kernel drivers.
• Experience identifying, triaging, and resolving security vulnerabilities in embedded Linux systems.
