What you will do

• Provide customer-focused modelling and simulation support, translating customer briefs into requirements.
• Build, update, debug, test, validate, and verify aircraft and aerospace-system models and analysis tools.
• Develop Simulink models and auto-code them to C/C++ and DLL, then integrate models into system-of-systems and distributed simulations.
• Analyse model integration and simulation results, including component performance and interactions.
• Develop data-format translation tools, extend distributed simulation capabilities, and investigate tools for new requirements.
• Produce technical documentation and report issues with third-party models and simulations.

Requirements

• Relevant engineering degree.
• Experience with Matlab, Simulink, Stateflow, and auto-coding to C/C++ and DLL.
• Programming experience, preferably with C++, C#, or Delphi.
• Knowledge of flight dynamics, aircraft performance modelling, and pilot modelling.
• Knowledge of sensor and signature modelling, including RF and EO/IR.
• Knowledge of flat, spherical, and WGS-84 Earth coordinate systems.
• Knowledge of Distributed Simulation using DIS and HLA, plus source control with Git.
• Experience solving optimisation problems and integrating models into system-of-systems models and distributed simulations.
• SC-level National Security Vetting clearance is required, or applicants must be able to gain it. Working-rights verification and security screening are also required for preferred candidates.
