Field Engineer (Fintech)

Location: Salt Lake City, UT, United States; the role involves deployment to client sites, virtually or in person. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future visa sponsorship and able to start work in the U.S. on the first day.

Base salary: $95,000–$149,000 USD annually, plus bonus, equity, and benefits.

What you will do

• Deploy to client sites to architect, build, and deliver custom integrations, automations, and data pipelines using hirify.global APIs, ADX, Databricks, and modern engineering tools.
• Design production-grade solutions that improve client onboarding, reduce time-to-value, and enable operational scale.
• Build AI, LLM, and machine-learning automation for data transformation, validation, and reconciliation.
• Own ADX implementations and design robust Databricks data infrastructure for client onboarding and analytics.
• Lead technical workstreams from discovery and requirements gathering through prototyping, production deployment, and client success.
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Services teams, develop internal delivery tools and best practices, and communicate technical expectations to clients and internal stakeholders.

Requirements

• Minimum 3+ years of experience in software engineering, data engineering, or forward-deployed technical roles.
• Advanced Python proficiency with production-grade applications, APIs, and data pipelines.
• Strong understanding of REST APIs, authentication patterns, integration architecture, ETL/ELT pipelines, and complex data transformations.
• Hands-on experience with Databricks, Spark, and distributed data processing frameworks.
• Proficiency in SQL and experience with large-scale datasets across relational and NoSQL databases.
• Familiarity with AI/ML tools and experience implementing LLM-driven automation solutions.
• Strong understanding of financial data domains, including portfolio management, performance analytics, and multi-asset-class portfolios.
• Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and modern software development practices.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, adaptability, ownership, and collaboration skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences and work effectively in ambiguous, fast-paced environments.
