Assistant Manager (Restructuring Advisory)

What you will do

• Support advisory and formal restructuring engagements, including pre-lend reviews, short-term cash flow forecast reviews, and options reviews for distressed or stressed companies.
• Support the management and progression of insolvency cases, including administrations, CVLs, WUCs, CVAs, BKYs, liquidations, and receiverships.
• Analyse management accounts, audited accounts, budgets, forecasts, financial models, trends, variances, and business operations.
• Assist with case planning, strategy, execution, statutory compliance, investigations, risk escalation, and obtaining legal advice where required.
• Prepare reports and presentations and liaise with directors, creditors, legal advisers, accountants, agents, and other FRP teams.
• Support and supervise junior team members and contribute to training, process improvement, and technical updates.

Requirements

• ACA- or ACCA-qualified Chartered Accountant.
• Relevant experience working on insolvency cases or restructuring assignments.
• Strong technical knowledge of UK insolvency legislation and procedures.
• Excellent written and report-writing skills.
• Excel proficiency and strong core maths skills.
• Collaborative, proactive, and adaptable approach, with the ability to manage competing priorities and deliver under pressure.

Nice to have

• Relevant professional qualifications such as CPI or JIEB.
