Forward Deployed Engineer Manager (GenAI)

Location: Hybrid working from the Luxembourg office, Luxembourg.

What you will do

• Identify client operations where AI can create measurable value and define solutions that can be shipped into production.
• Lead the design and delivery of LLM-based systems, including autonomous agents, RAG pipelines, workflow automation, and conversational interfaces.
• Integrate solutions with client APIs, databases, and business tools while managing GDPR, EU AI Act, model licensing, and related risks.
• Drive adoption through training, stakeholder engagement, production iteration, and impact tracking.
• Evaluate foundation models, prototype solutions, and establish architecture decisions using tools such as LangChain, LlamaIndex, and pgvector.
• Coach team members, set delivery standards, and help shape the AI practice.

Requirements

• Strong grounding in computer science, AI, or a related technical field, with a track record of building systems that reached production.
• 5+ years of professional experience, including leading teams or engagements.
• Hands-on experience with LLMs, including advanced prompting, RAG, fine-tuning, agent orchestration, and systematic model-output evaluation with evaluation sets, regression testing, and quality frameworks.
• Strong Python skills and the ability to quickly learn languages required by client stacks.
• Experience integrating APIs and heterogeneous systems and making sound architecture decisions.
• Ability to assess client context, prioritize valuable work, and deliver measurable outcomes at pace.
• Ability to lead non-technical teams through transformation using teaching, active listening, and communication skills.
• Willingness to own high-value engagements, shape the AI practice, and develop its people.
• Fluent English and French required.

Nice to have

• German language skills.
• Experience leading teams building with LangChain, LlamaIndex, OpenAI SDK, Anthropic SDK, or similar applied AI frameworks.
• Experience overseeing cloud deployments on AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Experience setting MLOps or LLMOps standards, including model CI/CD, prompt versioning, evaluation pipelines, and observability.
• Deep understanding of vector databases, embeddings, neural networks, and latent-space concepts.
