Cyber Security Operations Associate (Cybersecurity)

Location: Lisbon, Portugal; office-based four days per week with remote work permitted one day, Friday.

What you will do

• Monitor and respond to security events and alerts from multiple signals and technologies.
• Triage incidents, prioritize escalations, and coordinate with appropriate business units.
• Detect, contain, resolve, and remediate cyber security threats and intrusions.
• Develop and curate security detections across IDS, IPS, DLP, SIEM, AWS, and firewall technologies.
• Measure and report on the state of cyber security defenses and maintain detailed incident response reports.
• Update security procedures, playbooks, knowledge bases, and investigate indicators of compromise through open-source threat intelligence.

Requirements

• 2–4 years of security-related experience or experience in a similar field.
• Experience with Splunk or another SIEM, including search, analysis, and log aggregation.
• Knowledge of common cyber threats, attack vectors, and security frameworks including NIST and MITRE ATT&CK.
• Good understanding of TCP/IP protocols.
• Knowledge of Linux, Windows, and macOS operating systems.
• Basic understanding of Agile frameworks.
• Fast learning ability, willingness to keep learning, and ability to multitask.
• Attentive, organized, detail-oriented, analytical, and strong at problem-solving.
• Excellent communication skills.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree in information security, information technology, or computer science.
• Experience with cloud infrastructure systems such as AWS.
