Cyber Security Specialist (Cybersecurity)

Location: Lisbon, Portugal; flexible hybrid model with 8–10 in-office days per month.

What you will do

• Monitor, analyse and investigate security events, alerts and suspicious activity across endpoints, networks, identities, cloud environments and applications.
• Perform proactive threat hunting using security telemetry and threat intelligence.
• Develop and continuously improve security monitoring use cases, correlation rules and detection logic.
• Assess emerging threats, vulnerabilities and exploits, and prioritise remediation based on exploitability, threat intelligence, asset criticality and business impact.
• Improve security telemetry, visibility and detection coverage, including analysis of indicators of compromise.
• Collaborate with SOC, Incident Response, Network, Infrastructure, Cloud, Application Security and Secure by Design teams, and contribute to Red Team, Blue Team and Purple Team activities.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of relevant Cyber Security experience.
• Strong investigative and analytical mindset, with the ability to work with incomplete or ambiguous information.
• Ability to distinguish between security alerts, technical vulnerabilities and material Cyber Security risks.
• Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions under stress, taking ownership of investigations from detection through remediation and closure.
• Ability to challenge assumptions and use technical evidence to reach conclusions.
• Ability to communicate complex technical issues clearly to technical teams and senior stakeholders.
• Ability to work effectively across Cyber Security, Technology, Network and Operational teams and build relationships with local and global stakeholders.
• Fluency in English.
