Payments & Fraud Data Analyst (iGaming)

What you will do

• Analyse payment success rates, declines, payment methods, and provider performance to reduce friction and cost.
• Investigate fraud and abuse patterns, including promo abuse, multi-accounting, chargebacks, and money cycling, and translate findings into rules, thresholds, and segments.
• Design, back-test, and monitor automated risk decisions while balancing fraud capture against friction for genuine players.
• Build Looker or Tableau dashboards and alerts for payment, provider, and risk anomalies.
• Partner with Compliance on AML investigations, data analysis, and audit-ready reporting.
• Support Operations and Customer Service with analytics on review workloads, case outcomes, and player-facing friction; document data sources, metrics, and automation logic.

Requirements

• Hands-on data analyst experience in payments, fraud, risk, or AML, ideally in gaming, iGaming, fintech, or another high-volume digital environment.
• Strong SQL skills with a cloud data warehouse; BigQuery is preferred.
• Practical experience with Looker, Tableau, or Power BI.
• Experience analysing fraud and abuse patterns in transactional and behavioural data, including the trade-off between fraud capture and friction for genuine players.
• Ability to take analytical projects from ambiguous questions through solution design, documentation, delivery, and impact monitoring.
• Clear communication with Operations, Compliance, and senior leadership, including challenging assumptions with data in a remote-team setting.
• Investigative mindset and strong attention to detail.

Nice to have

• Python for deeper analysis, anomaly detection, or modelling.
• Familiarity with fraud-scoring tools, device or behavioural signals, social casino mechanics, or machine-learning approaches to fraud detection.
