Hirify AI/Оригинал
TL;DR
Simulation Engineer (CFD) - Large Physics Models (AI): Generate simulation data and develop numerical solvers for Large Physics Models with an accent on multi-fidelity CFD, differentiable frameworks, and GPU-native computation. Focus on combining physics-based simulation with machine learning, producing accurate and affordable training data, and shaping data-generation research direction.
Location: London, United Kingdom; hybrid work with 2–3 days per week in the central office.
Company
hirify.global is a physics AI company building simulation software for industrial engineering and manufacturing across aerospace and defence, automotive, semiconductors, materials, and energy and renewables.
What you will do
Generate simulation data for large-scale machine learning models using varied methods and fidelity levels.
Develop and implement numerical and PDE solvers, potentially with differentiable or GPU-native frameworks such as JAX and NVIDIA Warp.
Evaluate multi-fidelity data and trade-offs between fidelity and CFD simulators.
Use commercial and open-source CFD tools to produce reference data.
Collaborate with ML researchers and engineers to translate between physics and models and build effective training corpora.
Contribute to the technical direction of data generation and identify simulation investments that enable research progress.
Requirements
Postgraduate degree (MSc or PhD) in engineering, applied mathematics, physics, or a related field; research involving numerical analysis of PDEs or computational engineering is preferred. A PhD is preferred but not required.
At least 1–2 years of industry experience in CFD, ideally in turbomachinery, aerospace, defence, or the chemical and process industries.
Experience developing numerical or PDE solvers, for example with JAX, NVIDIA Warp, or a comparable framework.
Hands-on experience with at least one commercial CFD solver, such as Simcenter STAR-CCM+ or Ansys Fluent.
Comfort working in an open-ended research setting where the path is not always clear.
Nice to have
Practical experience with OpenFOAM.
Exposure to machine learning or surrogate model development, or experience working directly with ML teams.
Culture & Benefits
Research environment with access to ML expertise and compute, with simulation specialists influencing research direction.
Flat, collaborative structure that values ideas, questioning assumptions, and challenging the status quo.
Hybrid working model combining time in the Shoreditch office with work-from-home days.
Equity options, 10% employer pension contribution, private medical insurance, enhanced parental leave, and 25 days of annual leave plus public holidays.
Personal development support, Employee Assistance Programme, Wellhub subscription, free office lunches, and commuting and childcare schemes.
