hirify.global is hiring for a contract Energy Marshall supporting a large construction site and data center infrastructure.

What you will do

• Assure that vendors’ and contractors’ energy isolation programmes meet or exceed safety policy requirements.
• Establish and manage energy isolation assurance processes, including audits, inspections, findings, reports, and gap closure.
• Coordinate high-risk activity planning, energy isolation procedure approvals, permits, centralized or individual LOTO, and project programme updates.
• Review SOWs, MOPs, scripts, system energy sources, role assignments, acceptance criteria, personnel qualifications, training, and PPE.
• Coordinate with operations where isolation activities may affect data center core operations and support incident investigations as a subject matter expert.
• Act as an independent authority to stop unsafe energy isolation work and delegate qualified alternates for multi-shift and peak energization periods.

Requirements

• Experience with construction and commissioning standards, practices, techniques, terminology, and documentation.
• Construction Controlling Energy Marshal experience.
• Experience controlling hazardous energy in complex mission-critical infrastructure.
• Strong experience operating and maintaining building MEP systems, including power distribution, lighting, grounding, fire alarm, security, life safety, and controls systems.
• Established understanding of electrical theory and practical application through maintenance and operation of critical electrical equipment, including paralleling switchgear, redundant UPS systems, DC battery strings, multi-source utility switchgear, and standby diesel generators.
• Familiarity with multiple energy sources in data center construction, with emphasis on electrical systems.
• Ability to interpret line drawings and system redundancies to ensure LOTO systems are effective and compliant with Microsoft standards.
• Ability to audit site practices against written standards, implement improvements, and communicate complex technical solutions to engineers and non-engineers.
• College, university, or professional degree in Electrical, Industrial, Process Engineering, or a related field.
• Practical experience with building management systems, automation, controls, and frameworks.
