Automotive Damage and Vehicle Assessment Specialists (AI)

Location: Global — fully remote; listed locations include the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Australia, New Zealand, and Germany.

Workload: Approximately 10 hours per week. Schedule: flexible working days and hours.

What you will do

• Review vehicle damage photographs, repair estimates, condition reports, inspection documentation, and collision footage.
• Prepare vehicle damage estimates and professional condition assessments using established automotive industry standards.
• Conduct remote accident quality audits and causation assessments based on available evidence.
• Evaluate vehicle condition using criteria applied in fleet management, automotive auctions, and OEM assessment processes.
• Identify visible damage, inconsistencies, repair requirements, and documentation discrepancies.
• Provide structured findings, evaluate existing estimates and reports, and deliver written and verbal feedback to maintain project quality.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of professional experience in vehicle damage appraisal, automotive insurance claims, collision repair assessment, fleet vehicle inspection, or automotive auction inspection.
• Strong practical knowledge of automotive damage assessment and vehicle condition evaluation.
• Experience reviewing vehicle damage evidence, repair estimates, and inspection documentation.
• Ability to identify damage patterns, assess repair requirements, and support findings with objective evidence.
• Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills.
• Excellent written communication and documentation skills.
• Ability to work independently and deliver accurate assessments within established deadlines.

Nice to have

• Experience as a licensed auto damage appraiser, ACTAR-certified reconstructionist, OEM auditor, or experienced vehicle inspector.
• Previous AI experience is not required.
