Manager, Product Management (AI)

What you will do

• Lead end-to-end discovery, development, and delivery of features for a proprietary AI-enabled product used in Bain’s consulting work.
• Work with consultants, B2B commercial experts, and senior stakeholders to identify needs, define requirements, validate experiments, and make product decisions.
• Partner with engineering, data, DevOps, design, and consulting contributors to resolve ambiguity, evaluate trade-offs, and maintain delivery momentum.
• Develop product strategy, roadmaps, OKRs, positioning, budgeting, pricing, and go-to-market plans.
• Define and monitor adoption, quality, reliability, and value metrics while communicating outcomes, risks, and dependencies.
• Lead cross-functional development teams as an agile product owner, maintain a prioritized backlog, and support training and onboarding initiatives.

Requirements

• Associate’s or bachelor’s degree, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
• Five to eight years of professional experience, including experience in a strategy consulting setting, ideally involving B2B growth, pricing, sales, go-to-market transformation, data-intensive products, or technology delivery.
• Experience steering software development projects or product workstreams from problem definition through delivery, including collaboration with engineers and management of priorities, requirements, decisions, and stakeholders.
• Software and technology expertise from academic study, software delivery, or technology-focused consulting work, with sufficient technical depth to evaluate feasibility and trade-offs with engineers and data specialists.
• Applied understanding of generative AI, including practical experience assessing capabilities, limitations, output quality, risks, and safeguards.
• Strong product judgment and structured problem-solving skills, including prioritization of competing needs and decision-making with incomplete information.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills across all levels, including communication with senior Bain stakeholders.
• Ability to lead through influence, collaborate across consulting and technical teams, and take responsibility for outcomes in a fast-moving environment.
